What will I earn and what are the benefits?
Doctors
We do recruit locally employed doctors, who depending on level of experience in a training post, would be salary matched, ranging from £32,398– £63,152.
In addition to base salary, depending on rota pattern, additional payments may apply for on-call, night and weekend cover.
Specialty doctors and specialist pay scale
If you’re working as a specialty doctor, you’ll earn a basic salary of £52,530 to £82,400. If you are a specialist grade doctor, you'll earn a basic salary of £83,945 to £92,275.
Consultants
As a consultant, you'll earn a basic salary of £99,532-£131,964 per year, depending on the length of your service.
Dual qualifications and flexible training schemes
Where a consultant’s training has been lengthened by virtue of being in a flexible training scheme or because of undergoing dual qualification, LUHFT will, where necessary, credit appropriate additional seniority to ensure that the consultant is not prevented from reaching the pay threshold they would have attained had they trained on a full time or single qualification basis (e.g. training extended by two years counts as the equivalent of two years’ seniority as a consultant on first appointment as a consultant).
